Saisri Akondi

Graduated in December 2023 with a Dual master’s degree in biomedical engineering and business administration (Master of Integrated Innovation in Products and Services) from Carnegie Mellon University. She also holds a BE in Biomedical Engineering. She is a two-time founder with her social enterprise being acquired by the Ministry of Health in India. For her startup, she won the Grand Challenges Exploration Award from the prestigious Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for developing a vaccination record-keeping system for migrant workers. Saisri also worked as a scientist and medical device innovator at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, the research wing of the Government of India. Saisri has worked in the medical device space and has experience with FDA approvals and commercialization of medical devices.
